From my personal experiences, I have come to realize that when life gets tough, you need someone you can confide in. Not just anyone, but a professional that can help you navigate through some of your most difficult times in life. I truly believe everyone should have access to counseling no matter where you are. However, coming from a rural town in Alabama with limited resources, I have realized that many people suffer in silence due to fear of the stigma associated with traditional counseling or simply because there are not any counselors available within driving distance. For these reasons I am very passionate about offering virtual counseling services to those who may not have immediate access to counseling. In additional to virtual counseling, traditional counseling services are available. I offer flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Moreover, as a mother of two I have learned that we can let our responsibilities in life consume us and ultimately neglect caring for ourselves. For your convenience I align my practice with your schedule and customize treatment strategies to meet your individual needs. In order to help you overcome difficult times in life such as Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Low Self-Esteem/Self-Worth, or adjusting to life changes/events, my goal is to assist you with developing healthy coping skills to improve your overall mental health.
In regards to counseling, my methods are those of an eclectic approach which means that I use evidence based techniques from a different variation of counseling models. By using this approach I am not limiting your course of treatment and can better meet your individual needs.
